Sharing and Caring

For years our club has held the belief that giving to various charities is the best way to show the community that compassion works! From educating cancer patients on how to treat their illness with Medical Marijuana to donating money and tangible goods to the following organizations.  Here are some examples of compassion at work....

Dear KACC:

Thank you so much for the in-kind gifts that you gave to Pretty Lake Camp.  Your donations of 13 life jackets, 20 pairs of goggles, toothbrushes, and other games will be put to good use by our campers.

The donations we recieve from individuals and organizations enable us to focus on our core summer camp program. We are proud that, since 1916, we have been able to give the gift of a totally cost-free summer camp experience to more than 50,000 children- and you are one of them!

On behalf of the YWCA of Kalamazoo, it is an honor to thank you for your gift in kind of brand new diapers, African American hair products, Similac formula, baby food, kitchen items, towels, women's underwear and bras, boys/girls underwear, feminine hygiene products, facial tissue, thermometers and adhesive bandages to the YWCA in support of our clients. Your support and commitment to our mission means a great deal as we work to eliminate racism, empower women and promote peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all.

Through many services the YWCA works to change unjust systems that perpetuate racism, sexism, violence and poverity in our society, and to achieve our vision of peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all people

With the help of B&K Computer Source, (formerly based in Otsego) we were able to donate a refurbished computer network to The Boys and Girls Club of Kalamazoo. Included with the new system were 2 laptop computers, 2 video projectors, 6 Dell flat screen monitors, 4 new laser jet wi-fi printers, keyboards, speakers, and mice.

Mr. Bobby Kendricks was extremely gracious in receiving our donation and he informed us that this computer system will be truly appreciated by his staff.

The Kalamazoo Area Compassion Club (KACC) is a local non-profit community service organization comprised of medical marijuana patients and caregivers. We provide advocacy and educational resources to the general public regarding the safe, beneficial, and legal use of medical marijuana. The KACC was originally founded in January of 2009 and proudly obtained our non-profit coporation status in July of 2009. In the last seven years the KACC has strived for public awareness to our cause and just as importantly, we have given back to the Kalamazoo area through such acts as participating in the annual holiday parade and being proud members of the Michigan Adopt-A-Highway Volunteer program Cleanup events. We have also made charitable contributions to the Kalamazoo Animal Rescue, Cyctic Fibrosis Foundation, the YWCA downtown women's shelter.
